CONWAY, Ark - University of Central Arkansas softball senior Luisa Escobar has been named the recipient of the Michelle Short Scholarship and will wear #13 in Short's honor. Short, who played as a freshman for UCA under then-coach Natalie Shock, died in a car accident during spring break of 2004. The recipient of the scholarship is awarded to a softball player in good academic standing, as selected by a committee.
